“Innovation Handshake” signed; ICT roundtale in San Francisco

Published:

Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo and Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal joined forces to inaugurate the ambitious “Innovation Handshake” initiative, as previously unveiled by US President Joe Biden and Prime Minister Narendra Modi back in June. This significant move, aimed at deepening bilateral tech ties between India and the United States, was marked by an industry roundtable event in San Francisco.

Hosted jointly by the US-India Business Council and the Confederation of Indian Industry, the event brought together CEOs from major ICT companies, executives from venture capital firms, and founders of startups specializing in critical and emerging technology sectors. During the gathering, participants engaged in discussions on strategies to bolster technology collaboration between the two nations.

Gina Raimondo expressed, “Through the Innovation Handshake, the United States and India are fostering a vital tech partnership, which will further enhance the interconnected innovation ecosystems of our countries.”
