Vasanthi Hariprakash is an award-winning journalist, radio, and television personality, as well as media entrepreneur. She founded Pickle Jar, which helps businesses and institutions build stories through podcasts, web series, and events.
Vasanthi has had a distinguished career with NDTV 24×7 as a special correspondent, All India Radio’s
Akashvani and Radio City 91.1 FM host for the primetime show and BBC World News’ One Square Mile as a
documentary anchor. She is also the host of the popular podcast ‘The Dosa King’ on Spotify, and a columnist for the Deccan Herald. Known for connecting with her audiences and being able to fluently speak five languages, she has been conferred with the Radio Excellence Award for being India’s English RJ of the Year in 2007, the Rotary Vocational Excellence Award in 2013, and the UNFPA-backed Laadli Award for Gender Sensitivity in Journalism for the year 2020 for her reporting on ‘unheard voices of women’ from her travels across Karnataka for the Assembly Elections.
