The BHASKAR(Bharat Startup Knowledge Access Registry) platform was officially launched, marking a significant milestone for India’s startup ecosystem. The launch ceremony featured a keynote address by the Hon’ble Minister of Commerce and Industry, Shri Piyush Goyal, who highlighted the pivotal role BHASKAR will play in propelling Indian startups onto the global stage.
Shri Goyal emphasized the importance of uniting dreamers, doers, and disruptors on a single platform. “हम भारत के स्टार्टअप इकोसिस्टम को विश्व के स्टार्टअप इकोसिस्टम तक पोहुंचायेंगे,” he declared, reflecting his vision for integrating Indian startups with the global innovation landscape.
The launch of BHASKAR comes at a time when India’s startup ecosystem is rapidly expanding. Shri Sanjiv, Joint Secretary of DPIIT, underscored this growth by noting that 84 districts now host at least one startup, with plans to reach every district by January 16th. He described BHASKAR as a revolutionary platform, marking a “dream turned reality” and a significant leap towards building ‘Brand India’ in global entrepreneurship.
In his address, Shri Amardeep Singh Bhatia, Secretary of DPIIT, praised the platform for its role in simplifying access to resources and fostering collaboration. He noted that BHASKAR will create a dynamic networking environment, essential for driving innovation and growth in the Indian startup landscape.
BHASKAR aims to bridge the gap between startups, mentors, investors, and service enablers, providing a robust ecosystem for ideas to flourish and scale. By emphasizing cross-sector collaboration and personalized solutions, BHASKAR is poised to drive meaningful change and elevate India’s position in the global startup arena.
