Taramandal, a space startup, has clinched the prestigious “Best Emerging Startup of the Year 2023 Award” held at Visakhapatnam in the space industry, presented by Headstart, an organization dedicated to nurturing startups and entrepreneurship.
Founded by Andhra University alumni, Taramandal’s focus lies in the development of sustainable satellites and the establishment of a ‘harmonious orbital environment’. Taramandal says it wants to provide ‘efficient, light, cost effective solution for orbital vehicles and facilitate indigenization with all around fabrication of every sub system of orbital vehicle’. Taramandal’s space technologies have garnered recognition from renowned organizations, including IN-SPACE, ISRO, ASA, TASA, SIA-INDIA, ISPA, and CII.
Taramandal outshone over 2,000 applicants from more than 20 cities. Professor P. Mallikarjun Rao from the Department of Electrical Engineering at Andhra University has been nominated as Taramandal’s mentor, playing a significant role in the startup’s remarkable journey.
