Reaffirming its ambitious vision, the Government of Telangana declared its steadfast pursuit of becoming a $1 trillion economy, with the IT and ITES sectors identified as primary growth drivers. The announcement was made during the GCC X Hyderabad Summit, organized jointly by 3AI and HYSEA, and held in the city on Friday.

Speaking at the summit, Mr. Sanjay Kumar, IAS, Special Chief Secretary of the ITE&C Department, emphasized the government’s evolving role. “Governments are no longer just regulators; we are co-creators of the future. Our goal is to transform Telangana from a leading IT hub into a global leader in emerging technologies such as AI and Quantum through innovation and R&D,” he said.

The summit marked a significant step in public-private collaboration, with 3AI signing an MoU with the Government of Telangana, laying the foundation for long-term cooperation in building AI-native Global Capability Centers (GCCs). These centers are being increasingly relied upon by global parent organizations to drive both top-line growth and bottom-line efficiency.

The rapid proliferation of GCCs in Hyderabad is a testament to the high-value, strategic work being delivered from here,” noted Sameer Dhanrajani, CEO of 3AI, reflecting on the overwhelming participation at the event.

Prashanth Nandella, President of HYSEA, called GCC X Hyderabad a “perfect platform” to spotlight Hyderabad’s evolution into a next-gen innovation hub. “The city continues to lead as a preferred destination for AI-driven capability centers, backed by future-ready infrastructure and proactive government support,” he said.

The summit generated three key outcomes:
1. Positioning India as the “AI Office of the World”, as highlighted by Rajesh Varrier of Cognizant.
2. Robust knowledge-sharing sessions on GenAI, AI governance, and analytics adoption in GCCs.
3. An innovation showcase, featuring frameworks for GenAI Centers of Excellence, data ethics, governance models, and future-ready talent strategies.

The discussions at GCC X Hyderabad centered on themes such as value creation with GenAI, AI-enabled innovation and transformation, and ethical frameworks for responsible AI deployment.

As Telangana continues to invest in cutting-edge technologies and nurture a thriving innovation ecosystem, the summit reinforced the state’s intent to position itself as a global destination for AI and digital excellence.
