The state of Telangana has taken a significant step towards becoming a global leader in artificial intelligence (AI) with the launch of its ambitious AI strategy at the Global Telangana AI Summit. The two-day event, which began on September 5, 2024, in Hyderabad, was inaugurated by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu, alongside international delegates and speakers.
A Visionary Roadmap
During the inaugural session, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy unveiled the ‘AI-Powered Telangana Strategy Document and Implementation Roadmap,’ outlining the state’s vision for harnessing AI to address pressing global challenges. “Telangana is embarking on a visionary journey to establish itself as a leader in the realm of AI,” he stated, emphasizing the transformative potential of AI-driven solutions.
A key highlight of the roadmap is the development of an “Artificial Intelligence City,” a flagship project spanning 200 acres near Hyderabad. The AI City will feature state-of-the-art data centers, high-performance computing facilities, and an advisory council to drive innovation and implementation.
