Newmi Care Secures $1.5 Mn to Expand Women’s Healthcare

Published:

Newmi Care, a startup dedicated to transforming women’s healthcare, has successfully raised $1.5 million (approximately INR 12.6 crore) in its seed funding round. Led by Sprout Venture Partners, this funding round also saw participation from a family office, LetsVenture, Sarcha Advisors, Key Ventures Forum, and several angel investors.

Founded in May 2022 by Sanchit Agarwal and Aditi Mittal, Newmi Care is on a mission to revolutionize outpatient care for women in India. The startup provides a range of wellness products including PCOS tea, supplements, menstrual cups, and maternity clothing, aiming to simplify and enhance women’s healthcare experiences. With this fresh capital, Newmi Care plans to expand its network of women’s clinics across northern and western India, invest in technological and product innovations, and scale its team.

“We are on a mission to simplify outpatient care for women in India and bring women’s health to the forefront. This capital infusion is a step toward moving closer to our goal of solving women’s health challenges at scale in India,” said co-founder Sanchit Agarwal.

Since its inception, Newmi Care has impacted the lives of over 60,000 women across more than 400 cities in India. The startup addresses a wide array of health concerns, including menstrual, sexual, and hormonal health, as well as fertility, maternity, menopause, and cancers related to women’s reproductive organs.

The successful funding round for Newmi Care aligns with a growing trend in the digital wellness sector, which has recently seen increased investor interest. In August, Gurugram-based Laiqa Wellness secured INR 15 crore ($1.8 million) in seed funding from IvyCap Ventures. Similarly, in July, the direct-to-consumer wellness brand Hoop raised an undisclosed amount from Olympian PV Sindhu through Peak XV Partners’ Sequoia Spark fellowship program. With the latest infusion of capital, Newmi Care is poised to enhance its product offerings and expand its healthcare services. The startup is set to meet the rising demand for women-centric healthcare solutions in India, reinforcing its commitment to improving women’s health nationwide
