In a collaborative effort to support Nagaland startups, MyStartupTV and Hills FM inked a noteworthy Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 13 March, in Dimapur, Nagaland, in the presence of Neiphiu Rio, the Chief Minister of Nagaland, State and Central government representatives, dignitaries, NGOs, and leading Corporate houses.

Four MoUs were signed and exchanged between the State Government, the Investment Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN), and leading startup enablers across the country to pole-vault the Nagaland startup ecosystem, which was at par with the national startup movement. My Startup TV and Hills FM, a leading community-based Radio station, partnered for the Startup Podcast Initiative.

The MoU exchange was part of the inauguration of the Integrated Business Hub & Innovation Center (IBH&IC), an initiative of IDAN. Speaking after the launch of the Hub, the Chief Minister of Nagaland, Neiphiu Rio, urged “all stakeholders to join hands in making Nagaland
a magnet for investment, Innovation and economic growth,” and he called on all to work together “to create a brighter future for generations to come.” The IBH&IC was launched in the presence of T.R. Zeliang, Deputy Chief Minister for Planning and Transformation, Dr. Chintan Vaishnav, Mission Director, AIM, NITI Aayog, and Suman Kumar Bery, Vice Chairman, NITI Aayog.

This media partnership was proposed and supported by the Investment Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN). Speaking on the occasion, Abu Metha, Advisor to CM and Chairman of IDAN, emphasized that “the aspirations of our youth is our responsibility and we will work tirelessly towards that aspiration.”
The partnership aims to leverage the extensive reach of both media platforms to promote entrepreneurship and Innovation across the North East, and Nagaland in particular.

Dr. Chintan Vaishnav, Mission Director, AIM, NITI Ayog called the launch of IBH&IC a “really giant step” for Nagaland and urged the stakeholders to “focus on both skill and Entrepreneurship” development to bring the state to par with the national average of entrepreneurship.

This marks a pivotal moment in a four-year-old boot startup media startup, My Startup TV, as it aims to amplify the voices of entrepreneurs and startup enablers from remote areas and tier-II cities of India.
Major Sunil Shetty, founder and executive producer of My Startup TV expressed his excitement about the collaboration and emphasized that his global media platform is committed to providing visibility for entrepreneurs and startup enablers from across India’s Northeast.
