In the heart of innovation and the pursuit of scientific excellence, the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur presents the fifth edition of the Young Innovator’s Program (YIP) for the academic year 2023-24. This transformative initiative aims to recognize and celebrate the brilliance of students who exhibit exceptional creativity and a profound inclination towards scientific research.
The journey begins with the first announcement on 14th November 2023, marking the commencement of the registration and abstract submission period, which extends until the 24th of December 2023. The program unfolds through a series of rigorous rounds, emphasizing online and on-campus assessments, ultimately leading to a grand finale.
The program is structured to accommodate students across various academic levels, offering a junior division for classes 8, 9, and 10, and a senior division for classes 10, 11 and 12. This inclusivity ensures that young minds at different stages of their academic journey can actively participate and contribute to the culture of innovation.
Teams, consisting of 2 or 3 members, are encouraged to participate, with the added support of a mentor. The history of the Young Innovator’s Program dates back to its inception in 2017.
