Hyderabad’s OU to Host India Startup Fest 2024

Published:

The historic Osmania University (OU) is set to be the epicenter of India’s thriving startup landscape as it gears up to host the high-profile India Startup Festival (ISF) in March 2024.

This major announcement was made by JA Chowdary, former special chief secretary and IT advisor to the Telangana CM on Friday during the inauguration of the Telangana Incubators and Accelerators Meet held at OU.

The university venues will come alive with the country’s most promising young entrepreneurs as over 10,000 startups and key ecosystem enablers like investors, mentors and corporate honchos will assemble for ISF 2024 next year.

“We are proud to host this pioneering event which will provide tremendous visibility and growth opportunities for startups, especially from tier-2 cities, while also spotlighting Hyderabad as a destination fostering innovation,” said OU Vice Chancellor D Ravinder at the launch.

The Telangana Incubators Meet saw participation from over 130 leading incubator CEOs, startup founders and industry experts exploring avenues to boost the state’s startup momentum.

ISF aims to nurture an Atmanirbhar Bharat by enabling startups to scale new heights through funding, mentorship and global visibility across domains like fintech, healthtech, agritech and more. With ISF 2024, Hyderabad is set to write a new chapter in India’s startup success story.

Launched in 2022, India Startup Festival (ISF) aims to empower entrepreneurs and strengthen the startup ecosystem to realize their full potential, complementing national initiatives like Startup India. The first edition in Bengaluru saw over 2,000 startups participate, exhibit, discuss and compete, with 15 startups emerging as winners. They receive mentorship from corporate CEOs and industry experts. ISF brings together key stakeholders – investors, mentors, corporates, policymakers – to help startups grow and take their offerings global. Within a short span, ISF has made its mark with unprecedented support for entrepreneurs and by advancing the mission of nurturing an Atmanirbhar Bharat. With over 10,000 startups expected at future editions, ISF seeks to reimagine the startup revolution in India.
