Blod.in Unveils Blod+: Groundbreaking Healthcare Software to Transform Blood Management in India

Blod.in has launched Blod+, an innovative healthcare software and logistics platform poised to revolutionize blood management and delivery across India, addressing the alarming issue of blood wastage in healthcare facilities. With approximately 6.5 lakh units of blood wasted annually, causing around 12,000 daily deaths, Blod+ is designed to ensure hospitals maintain steady access to blood, significantly reducing wastage.

Varun Nair, CEO of Blod.in, emphasized the platform’s potential to save lives by minimizing blood wastage. Adithya Vikram, CTO of Blod.in, envisions a future where hospitals and families are no longer burdened with the challenging task of procuring blood for their loved ones.

Blod+ has garnered support from major healthcare players, including CloudNine, Bewell, Sooriya Hospital, IMAX Hospital, and more than 35 others, due to its seamless integration and user-friendly interface. Blod+ exceeds industry standards, reducing blood sourcing time from an average of 6 hours to just 2 hours and 7 minutes.

Additionally, Blod+ empowers blood banks to distribute blood and components efficiently to hospitals within its network. This not only minimizes wastage but also streamlines the supply chain, aiding blood banks in inventory management and prompt demand fulfillment.
