Published:

The LEAP AHEAD initiative, a collaborative effort between the Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) and The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) Delhi-NCR, aims to be a game-changer for tech startups in various stages, offering funding support of up to ₹1 Crore along with a comprehensive three-month mentorship program that combines virtual and in-person sessions. Startups will gain access to an extensive network and personalized guidance through one-on-one mentorship sessions with experienced investors and industry experts.

Secretary MeitY, Shri S Krishnan, highlighted the significance of entrepreneurship opportunities in India’s evolving landscape, emphasizing the nation’s transformation from a BPO destination into a global capability and R&D center. The LEAP AHEAD initiative aims to nurture entrepreneurial talent, particularly among youth in smaller cities and promote gender and geographical diversity in entrepreneurship.

The program is expected to help startups establish a product-market fit, identify customer segments, develop growth hacking strategies, ensure business compliance, recruit leadership, and raise funds. It marks the beginning of an exciting journey to extend the LEAP AHEAD Accelerator Program’s reach.

Seven MoUs were exchanged between STPINext and ecosystem enablers, and winners of the Build for Bharat IoT Challenge were felicitated. Twenty startups collectively received ₹6.1 crore from NEXTGen Technology Fund1, demonstrating the initiative’s commitment to fostering entrepreneurial brilliance and supporting the growth of startups in India.
