Sadguru’s Push: Boosting Rural Innovation at 2023 Fest

Published:

At the India Startup Festival 2023 inauguration, Sadguru Madhusudan Sai championed rural entrepreneurship, contrasting tech-savvy cities like Bengaluru with India’s untapped rural talent, underscoring the need for mentorship and financial aid.

During the inauguration of India Startup Festival 2023, Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai spoke to the press emphasizing the festival’s core objective: enhancing the rural economy via rural entrepreneurship. He mentioned that while cities like Bengaluru are the tech hubs of India, benefiting from technological resources, much of India’s hinterlands lag behind. Notably, the real talent reservoir exists in rural India. These individuals are sharp and brimming with ideas; all they need is a bit of mentoring and financial support. The festival aims to foster this growth.

Sadguru highlighted Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of ‘Gram Swaraj’ (village self-governance), which seemed unattainable in the past but appears feasible today, thanks to advancements in technology, transportation, and communication. The presence of renowned mentors at the festival, tasked with overseeing the progress of 100+ villages, makes this endeavor even more promising.

He concluded by saying that for India to truly emerge as a developed nation, such festivals play a crucial role. He expressed his gratitude to all involved.
