Hyderabad, October 13, 2025: The Atal Incubation Centre at the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (AIC-CCMB) hosted the Viksit Bharat Buildathon 2025 – Live Synchronized Innovation Event, bringing together over 200 students from more than ten Hyderabad schools in a nationwide celebration of creativity and problem-solving.
Billed as India’s largest school-level innovation challenge, the Buildathon engaged over one crore students from Classes 6 to 12 across the country in a one-day event designed to promote innovation, entrepreneurship, and design thinking among the youth.
The Hyderabad edition, held at the P.M. Bhargava Auditorium, saw students tackling real-world challenges under four national themes — Atmanirbhar Bharat, Swadeshi, Vocal for Local, and Samriddh Bharat. Participants also joined a live virtual interaction with Union Minister for Education Dharmendra Pradhan, who urged them to innovate fearlessly and contribute toward building a self-reliant India.
In addition to the national broadcast, students benefited from hands-on mentoring sessions at AIC-CCMB, where experts guided them on transforming local challenges into entrepreneurial opportunities.
Organized jointly by the Ministry of Education, Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), and NITI Aayog, the Buildathon ran from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and aimed to spark innovation at the grassroots level.
Speaking at the event, an AIC-CCMB spokesperson said, “Our mission is to ignite curiosity and nurture an entrepreneurial mindset from a young age. The Buildathon exemplifies how India’s youth can lead the journey toward a prosperous and self-reliant future.”
The event underscored the growing potential of India’s young innovators in shaping the nation’s vision of Viksit Bharat @2047, reaffirming that the country’s path to progress lies in the creativity and determination of its next generation.
