MUMBAI, India, Aug. 25, 2025 — Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR) has announced the opening of applications for Batch 38 of its Start Your Business (SYB) programme, a transformative initiative designed to equip aspiring and early-stage first-generation entrepreneurs with the tools, mindset, and mentorship needed to launch and grow sustainable ventures.
Offered through SPJIMR’s Centre for Family Business & Entrepreneurship (CFBE), the SYB programme has a proven track record, having empowered over 650 participants to navigate the complexities of entrepreneurship. The four-month hybrid programme, spanning nine weekends with a business plan presentation in the 13th weekend, combines academic rigor with practical insights, covering critical areas such as business planning, marketing, finance, operations, legal aspects, and leadership.
Prof. Tulsi Jayakumar, Executive Director of CFBE and Chairperson of the Post Graduate Programme in Family Managed Business (PGPFMB), emphasized the programme’s impact: “SYB is about transforming aspiration into action. It provides participants with the knowledge, tools, and support to build real ventures with confidence, blending foundational learning with hands-on experience.”
The programme stands out for its practical approach, featuring sessions with seasoned entrepreneurs, one-on-one mentoring, and a business plan presentation before investors and experts. Participants also gain access to SPJIMR’s vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem, fostering connections to potential partnerships, funding, and alumni networks.
Arpita Mandal, a Batch 36 alumna, shared her experience: “SYB helped me understand that a successful venture addresses real problems. The mentorship and guidance I received were instrumental in shaping and launching my start-up.”
Scheduled to commence on November 15, Batch 38 offers limited seats to ensure a personalized learning experience.
