IIT Delhi’s Business and Entrepreneurship Conclave (BECon 25), the largest e-summit in the country, commenced on 1 Feburary 2025, with a strong focus on sustainability-driven business strategies. The two-day event, held on IIT Delhi’s campus, is centered around the theme “Moving Towards Sustainability,” underscoring the growing importance of environmentally conscious business practices.
The first day of BECon 25 featured a series of insightful panel discussions on emerging trends and technological advancements shaping the business landscape. Key topics covered included sustainability, electric mobility, blockchain innovation, artificial intelligence, and venture capital. Experts from diverse industries shared their perspectives, providing attendees with an in-depth understanding of the future of sustainable business.
A major highlight of the event was the session titled “Green Frontiers: India’s Path to Sustainable Growth,” featuring Jayant Sinha, former Union Minister of State for Finance and Civil Aviation. He, along with other esteemed speakers, delved into India’s evolving sustainability strategies and the role of businesses in fostering eco-friendly economic growth.
Prominent attendees at BECon 25 included Anil Swarup, former Secretary of the Ministry of Coal, Government of India, alongside other industry leaders, policymakers, and entrepreneurs. Their participation underscored the significance of the summit in shaping conversations around India’s sustainable future.
