Pune, India – In a breakthrough for the intersection of traditional medicine and modern technology, Pune-based startup Atreya Innovations has unveiled a revolutionary AI-based pulse diagnostic tool aimed at Ayurveda practitioners. The device, named Nadi Tarangini, offers a comprehensive health analysis by monitoring 22 key parameters, providing Ayurveda professionals with valuable insights into their patients’ overall health and wellness.
Developed as part of an innovative research project at IIT Bombay by Aniruddha Joshi, the Nadi Tarangini device employs advanced artificial intelligence to capture and analyze pulse data. This allows practitioners to make accurate health assessments and personalize treatment plans more efficiently. The device is capable of generating health reports in 10 Indian languages, making it accessible to a broad range of practitioners and patients across the country, regardless of regional language barriers.
Aniruddha Joshi, who founded Atreya Innovations, emphasized the device’s potential to modernize Ayurveda diagnostics while maintaining the integrity of traditional healing practices. “The Nadi Tarangini is not just a technological innovation but also a step forward in enhancing the reach and credibility of Ayurveda in today’s world,” Joshi said.
The project was supported by a research grant from the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), which helped fund the development of the tool. Joshi’s efforts have been bolstered by the backing of entrepreneur Anand Deshpande, co-founder of Atreya Innovations, who sees this tool as a game-changer for Ayurveda practitioners looking to integrate more advanced technology into their practices.
“This project is a testament to the power of combining cutting-edge technology with ancient healing practices. Our goal is to make Ayurveda diagnostics faster, more accurate, and accessible,” added Anand Deshpande.
The device’s ability to monitor pulse across multiple parameters allows for a deeper understanding of a patient’s condition, from metabolic health to emotional well-being, enabling more holistic treatments. Furthermore, the integration of AI ensures that the insights provided are not only accurate but also customizable to individual needs, providing a future-forward diagnostic tool for Ayurveda.
Atreya Innovations aims to roll out the Nadi Tarangini device in the coming months, marking a new chapter for Ayurveda practices in India, where an increasing number of professionals are seeking to bridge the gap between traditional wisdom and modern technology.
As more healthcare practitioners look to embrace technology, tools like Nadi Tarangini could pave the way for a more data-driven approach to Ayurveda, transforming it into a globally recognized healthcare system.
The startup is hopeful that their tool will attract widespread adoption in the Ayurveda community and ultimately contribute to better healthcare outcomes by combining ancient wisdom with cutting-edge science. Source-(PTI)
