Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy recently launched the MSME Policy-2024, aimed at creating more employment opportunities in the state. The policy focuses on six key areas to stimulate growth in the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSME) sector:
- Land Accessibility: Improving the availability, accessibility, and affordability of land for businesses.
- Raw Material Access: Ensuring easy access to necessary raw materials.
- Labor Market Flexibility: Increasing flexibility in labor markets to adapt to business needs.
- Technology Adoption: Promoting the adoption of advanced technologies in MSMEs.
- Market Access: Enhancing access to both domestic and global markets.
During the launch, CM Reddy emphasized the importance of a solid policy framework for development and stated that the government would build on previous policies while also being open to revising decisions that don’t serve the state’s interests. He noted the gap between educational standards and industrial needs, announcing the upgrade of 65 ITI institutions into advanced technology centers with support from the Tata Institute, backed by an investment of Rs. 2400 crores. This initiative underscores the government’s commitment to aligning education with industry requirements.
