The one-day conference saw a series of presentations, panel discussions, roundtables, awards & recognitions. The summary of the deliberations was that AI and Automation was here to stay, and how we use the twins to enhance productivity, efficiency, and employability will form the crux of the elaborate deliberations. With Hyderabad’s inviting cool weather helping a bit, the event held in the open-air area at T-Hub.
Across the day-long event, the message that resounded across the audience was the reality of AI and Automation in India, and whether Indian companies, educational institutions, and corporates can take this reality and raise the bar in terms of deploying it across various work functions while enabling the creation of a talent pool that will adopt and innovate ways and means to use AI and automation.
CK Dash, founding member, MyAnatomy, the organsier of the event, was confident that the ITTL at Hyderabad has achieved its purpose of bringing academia, industry and institutions together on one platform. ‘We have senior delegates, CEOs, CXOs, and university leaders, all come together. My Anatomy promises to become an equal opportunity enabler, bringing opportunity to one platform, one place. We brought all the stakeholders who are responsible for bringing equilibrium in the talent management system. We are truly excited to say that more than 350 plus leaders, across the table, discussing about AI…AI is powered by human intelligence, we need to pick the pace of technological advancement, we need to change the mode of education, and we need to recreate the employability quotient by redefining our education pattnern. So thank you MuStartupTV for covering it today and taking it to the height of success’.
The keynote speaker during the morning session, Dr J A Chowdary, Founder, Architect, Fmr Spl Chief Secy & & IT Advisor to CM of AP, said ‘As per a report from acUS giant, 90% of the workforce can be automated. So what happens to the Indian companies with the large workforce in IT sector. I was told by them that most of them are on long-term contracts. But once that ends, we have no idea if the jobs will be renewed. So what happens to the millions of graduates passing out? The lack of fulfilling employment would cause unrest. I think not just the government but also industry and educational institutions to be aware and take proactive steps’.
The event saw range of participation from sponsors and other stakeholders. Taleez Rizvi, Director, BW People World: ‘We are trying to understand how the future of Indian talent would be. Today we have heard lot of speakers talk about AI and the integration, the upskilling for the future. There was a lot of learning and speakers about how the change will be there, and how MyAnatomy is looking at bridging the gap between industry and academics. It is a brilliant initiative that we are doing and we wish all success to the initiative.
Shubha Das, student: ‘For me AI seems to be a revolution, something that will change the world drastically. Its presence can already be felt and it will grow as technology enhances. It can also be a boon and bane…It can also be something that will harm people’s privacy, steal data and maximise attacks. I think it should be limited but it should also help people grow and not be used for the wrong’.
K Gopal Shenoy, the chief mentor of MyAnatomy led the third panel of discussions of the day with his energy and ability to present complex ideas in the most concise format. Shenoy also announced that they are building a community here in Hyderabad to foster the use of AI and Automation and that very soon we will hear of this initiative that will be takeoff based on the deliberations of the ITTL conference.
ITTL honoured the stalwarts for their central role in the tech sector. ‘Cyber Vishwakarma’ honour from IITL was bestowed on Dr J A Chowdury, while ‘Cyber Kautilya’ was bestowed on Mahankali Srinivas Rao, CEO, T-Hub.
